Old Buescher Re-build

I recently bought a mid-twenties Buescher True Tone tenor off ebay. Suprisingly, the horn did play as it was. But it needed an acid bath and a few pads replaced so I opted for a full re-build. My question is this: Should I stick with the original Buescher pads with the snap in resonators? The guy in the shop says he has them. I've been thinking about using the Roo Pads with metal resonators-there are a couple different kinds. A flat metal one and a corrugated metal type, among others-plastic resonators, no resonators etc. I'm an amateur player and like a rather edgy sound, but I like a mellow tone to be there when I want that as well. Any thoughts or suggestions on what pads to use for this rebuild? Thanks in advance.

They say metal resonators are for projection and plastic are for a more balanced sound. Good luck with your old True Tone.
