New to Saxquest

Playing alto 2 years; really love it. Play Yamaha Allegro with Hite mouthpiece,Alexander Superial #3. Looking for rounder tone in a different mouthpiece before graduating up to a more advanced sax. Appreciate any comments.

A new mouthpiece will defiantly help, but what will do the most good is the shape of your embouchure in regards to a round sound. Bring the corners of your lips inwards by using more of the muscle on the side of your mouth than on the chin. Hope this helps!

try Vandoren reeds- Alexanders used to be great, but their quality control went down the tubes a while ago. Try the blue box. do you have private lessons? highly recommended if not.
