Low "D" Vibrates Uncontrollably

Hello All: I just found your site and am looking forward to reading much more.... I am a rookie tenor sax player. Have been playing for slightly less than one year, but I'm an adult with works, kids and a wife and don't have much time to practice. I have a Yamaha YTS 23 student sax which has been great for me. My question is that recently, my low "D" starts to vibrate uncontrollably after I hold a note for more than a couple of seconds. This is a new problem and as far as I can tell, I'm not doing anything else differently. I've tried new reeds but still have the problem. Not sure if it is a "pads" issue. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. YankeeSax
