Mid Life Crisis Newcomer

Hello from central west NSW, Australia.

After growing up with my father playing alto sax I decided (at 59) to learn the instrument myself - but soprano. Sort of a midlife crisis/keep the brain active thing.

I tried a clarinet but thought a sax might be better. I have an Aquilasax C soprano on order and can't wait to get my hands on it.

I have no desire to play big band/orchestra. I just want to sit down with some sheet music (like Whiter Shade of Pale) and play a melody for my own amusement.

Looking forward to my new venture.

    G'Day, fossil!

    I played clarinet all through school. Learning an instrument at any age is a great thing. Keep us posted on how it goes!
