Mouthpiece cleaning

I have been very miticulous about keeping my horns and mouthpieces clean and dry after each session.  I have an elaborate set of items I use to keep everything super clean.  And still...

It appears that after a few years of playing by new Otto Link mp it has some type of buildup - maybe scale ??? - on the inside of it.  What can I use to safely clean it or should I take it to a music repair shop and have them do it?

Called Saxology in Berkeley, CA.  They recommended a short soak in white vinegar.  It really did the trick.  Mouthpiece is really nice and clean.  Great advice - thanks

Eric at Saxology repadded my Super 20 a number of years ago and did a great job. I also met Jey before he passed away which was really sad. I'm glad the vinegar worked!
