My dad just passed away and he had a sax that none of us knew about. All I know is that its a CG Conn and it dates 1914. Is it of any value? I would really appreciate the help.
It probably says "patented Dec 8 1914" but that won't be the actual date of production, all old Conns were stamped that. The serial number and stamping under the thumb hook near the bottom back side of the horn will tell you the date and if it is HP or LP. Looks like it may be a C Melody, but that would be in that stamping there too. What all does it say there?
