Short answer, no.  You'll need to wait until the hands get a bit bigger and the adult teeth come in.  Then talk to a teacher if saxophone is not just a passing fancy.

I have played sax for 40 years. My 3 year old grandaughter has shown tremendous interest in playing. She has a sesame street sax that plays a few nice sax jazz riffs. The next step was,I picked up a cheap made taiwan curved soprano off Craigslist for 125 bucks. They are not worth anything more than letting a three year old bang around on. She is learning mouth position and basic fingerings.

Don't let anyone tell you it is too early. Mozart was writing music at five or earlier. I believe he wrote twinkle twinkle little star as a toddler.

    DREAM ON!!
