replacing missing keys

Hi everybody, first time poster here, but I've been a "lurker" for a couple of monthes. I have a problem with one of my saxophones. It was an old hand me down and it has really taken a beating. it has a large amount of sentimental value, but it could probably fit under the POS thread. The keys buttons them selves have mostly cracked and fallen out, except for a select few, and I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy new ones for replacing. I am a little short on cash right now, so i would prefer to not take it into a repair shop. Thanks

    Re: replacing missing keys

go to a shop and ask for yamaha key pearls, student models use plastic key "pearls' they are inexpensive compared to other key pearls. they will fit close enough to get you by till you can get the money for the correct pearls. use contact cement to glue them. you can easily pull them out for later replacement
