Searching for value and history of sax

Bought at an estate sale.  Family said it was given to the deceased from a music teacher that was a close friend before he passed. Looking for the value and history.

    This is a common conn alto saxophone from the 1923-25 range.

    Value in as found condition is 495.00 or so
