My ? Classic Saxaphone
Hello fellow saxers,
I haven't played my Eflat Alto for 40+ yrs. No good reasons , still always listened to and prefered great Horn music. My 9 yr old grandson recently decided he might like to play the sax , so I got mine out. I even had a #2 reed in new condition , and had a reunion which my grandson really loved. I surprised myself.
There lies my main question.
I have a ' Whitehall ' , with the Bell stencilled Whitehall in script and Made in USA both inside an ornate decoration. There is no ' Japan ' stamped by lower thumbhold , just a numbers only ser #. I inherited the hand me down horn from my older brother in the 1950's.
Can anyone help me date this?
Thx , Jon
