Martin Comm or Comm II?

My Martin with serial number 130251 fits into the category Commity, but the saxophone is engraved it is a Comm II. I am hoping someone will be able to explain why and give me a relative value. Thank you for your time.

The most likely explanation is that whatever serial# chart you're looking at didn't get the model changes right.  If you've got a lion and crown engraving and "Comm II" stamped on the body tube, it's a Comm II.  They're top-line American vintage with a lot of fans.

Thank you for your response. The numbers I went by are the ones on this site. I thought I had posted pictures but now see they don't show. I will put them up now. Also both pieces have matching serial numbers.

Thisd is a nice looking example in your serial sequence.

This one has been relacquered. Condition is everything.

    1500 is a good value.

    Good Luck
