This is the very rare Zimberhoff Vibra Metal tenor saxophone mouthpiece, serial number 622. The body of the mouthpiece is in very good shape, it has some light cosmetic wear but nothing that will affect the way the piece plays. The table, tip and rails are in great shape showing no signs of major wear. Its tip opening is just right around .088” making it a little on the small side for a 6*.
Zimberhoff was the owner of a major music store in Hollywood in the late 40’s through the 1950’s. It was a well known place for players of note, hence “House of Note.” Very few of these mouthpieces were put into production possibly only as few as 100, making this an incredibly rare mouthpiece.
