This is a very nice vintage Meyer Brothers New York 3M hard rubber mouthpiece for alto saxophone. The mouthpiece dates back to the early days of Meyer when they were in New York. It is physically in outstanding condition for a piece of its vintage. There is just a little cosmetic wear in the beak area but nothing major. This vintage Meyer features a medium chamber and rounded inner side walls, and also has the more sought after narrow beak profile. The side rails, table and tip profile are all in excellent original condition. Its original tip opening of .065” is still intact, this is equivalent to the measurement of a current production 4* or a small 5.
