Here’s a real special find! This is a vintage hard rubber Selmer Soloist E mouthpiece for the alto sax. This piece has the earlier “short shank” design, and while these pieces are commonly seen in the traditional C* opening, it’s rare to find them in the larger E facing. This piece has some scratches on both sides, most likely from a previous ligature, but all the important parts, such as the tip, rails, table, and beak, are in excellent shape.
