This is a beautiful gold plated Buescher True Tone tenor sax, serial number 214814. This tenor has been cleaned and polished having been photoed just before an overhaul. In this sense you can see the original nubs in the pad cups for the Buescher snap-in pads.

This tenor features a beautiful satin gold plate body, with burnished (shiny) gold plated keys and engraving inlay. The sax is in pristine physical condition, showing no dents, dings, or previous damages. The original neck also looks incredible. There are just a few spots in the horn where the gold has worn a bit.

This is considered a late True Tone model with modern keywork, including front F and a roller G# key. These instruments present a warm resonant tone. Buescher saxes of this vintage are known for their sweetness of sound and ease of play.
