BUESCHER True Tone - Matte Silver Plate (Serial Number: 153675) Back to model

This is an awesome vintage Buescher True Tone Sopranonino with a silver finish, serial number 153675. Physically and cosmetically the horn is in exquisite shape showing little to no wear. The body shows no evidence of ever sustaining any major damage, dents, or re-solders. There are just a few light surface scratches along the body but that’s it.

Buescher sopraninos of this later vintage have an interesting table key configuration as the G# key is activated by the low B key. Thus when you first glance at the table mechanism, it appears that the G# key is missing. Its actually a very effieient mechanism.

The horn was professionally regulated in in the Saxquest shop in 2011 and played great. The pads are in great shape and are sealing on the tone holes very nicely. It also features the Buescher snap in metal resonators. Keyed up to a high Eb the instruments action feels very smooth and fluid and is overall a very fun horn to play.
