Here is an outstanding rare horn - an original nickel plated C.G. Conn "transitional" tenor sax, serial number 247467. We've seen several vintage Conns that were nickel plated, but only a couple that were originally done so, and this one is in superb condition.
The original nickel finish is over 99% on this tenor, with no major wear of note. The sax does feature rolled tone holes, the fingernail file G# key, and also the extra trill G#. There are no dents or dings, and no resoldered joints. The neck is in perfect shape.
This is a great horn that offers a vintage Chu sound, except with more punch. It still has the spread open sound you would expect, but plays with a little more guts, and the response is lightning fast.
