Hello from St Charles,MO

Hi I'm Ron. I've been playing Tenor Sax for ten years. Any advice on memorizing Bebop tunes?

    If you want to play them on jam sessions, what I have done is memorize Contrafacts. As you may already know, contrafacts are bebop tunes (melodies over the chord changes of standard tunes). This way the rhythm section may not know Donna Lee but probably know its host tune Indiana.....
