Re: How do I know what saxophone i have and how much it goes for?
The name Conn is basically legendary, in that the horns that had any value as a horn a professional player would play stopped being produced over 60 years ago.
Sine then, the owner of the conn name has produced inexpensive more cheaply made instruments with less desireable brass.
Your horn is one of these somewhat newer models.
Check into the Saxophone forum museum tab on this sight and investigate what a vintage desireable horn would look like.
700 was a stretch on a retail price then.
200 bucks today.
