What I meant is after someone puts money into it to replace the missing keys, along with all other necessary work done, it would be worth around 4,000. If it simply was considered in original condition by who wanted to buy it.
There are a number of us out there who can take Selmer parts, make a correct key with the correct specs and make it as original as possible. At that after work point, there would be players willing to play the instrument, decide it is a wonderful tool for making the music they want to make, and dish out 4000 to obtain it. So if you are an artist with a soldering torch and a jewelers saw, you got a niche to make some bucks. Dont fool yourself at thinking it is worth that now. Many hours of labor, at 50 bucks plus and hour, from the real good guys.
Its like finding a rare car or biplane in a barn.
