Is this a good sax?

I am looking for an inexpensive soprano to play. I currently play alto saxophone, but would like to expand my arsenal of instruments. Would an Allora Paris Series Professional soprano saxophone suffice? I'm not sure if this instrument is of a high quality, as it is made in Vietnam. I would really appreciate a reply regarding if I should purchase this instrument.

    It sounds like this is a pretty decent model, but it also sounds like the sopranos at www.kesslerandsons.com might be a little better, and they sport a lower price.  In additon, they generally are inspected and adjusted if needed before shipping.  If you are interested in the Kessler, I would recommend that you call them and specifically ask for setup inspection just to make sure it happens on your horn.  Here is the Kessler website: https://www.kesslerandsons.com/soprano-saxophones/

      Thank you! I had actually never heard of Kessler before. I definetly will keep this company's saxes in consideration.

          That might not be a  Model 6 but a Model 500 soprano, which replaced the Model 6 as Yanagisawa's offering in the stencil market in 1980.  If it has stainless steel springs it is a 500, which is not nearly as good as the 6.  If that horn is really a Model 6 it's a good deal, if it's a 500 not so much. 

          People get honestly confused when they're unaware of the 500.  Here's a link to another example of someone looking at a 500 and thinking it was another Yanagisawa model.
