I am about 2 hours north of Junkdude's, and I visit them frequently.  Dave Hoskins (owner) is good at repair, but does not want to do it much anymore, so he sends horns out for repair to a repair specialist with over 50 years experience.
All my dealings with Dave have been very above board, and easy.  He also has return policies on horns and mouthpieces.  Dave also happens to be the owner of Morgan mouthpieces, and is in the middle of getting a number of his Gregory mouthpieces ready to launch.

In my experience, he does answer email, but phone calls always seem to get through to him.

Just to clarify, this gentleman and now member here, was quick to answer my questions on a second email. I am using my employer's system that can be very "spam filter" unfriendly. Put the blame on me. I should have retried prior to posting my personal observation. 

I use a hand made and hand engraved/etched vintage Morgan Bilger alto piece on all my refurbished altos. It has an extremely even air flow. I will be looking for a similar situation for Tenor. My alto piece came with a nice last run Ditson Alto I had a few years back.

I feel pretty bad about this earlier post. I have found just what I have been looking for in his inventory and he has been very generous. So, making a visit to his store is very likely in the near future. He has free shipping and a 10 day trial. Even a better deal  if you go to him and just get er done with cash.
