Best Advanced Sax Method Book?

Am teaching myself the sax and want to know what THE advanced method book is. I've played clarinet and used the Klose book, and oboe (Barrett). So what is the recommended book for sax? Thanks!!!

    I would have to say The Universal Method for Saxophone, by Paul DeVille and published by Carl Fisher. I use it a bunch, and there's a lot of good stuff in it.

      check out Dave Liebman's "Developing a Personel Saxophone Sound". All you need to know 'bout tone and stuff. Good luck.

      You looking for Classical sax method or Jazz Sax Method? Classical Sax method Books- Ferling or Labanchi Jazz- Greg Fishman Etudes 1 & 2 or Advanced Jazz Conception For Sax by L. Niehaus

        I have both the Ferling etudes and the Niehaus Advanced conception books for my college sax lessons. I would also pick up a masterclass book. Saxophone Master Class by Michael E. Hester is what I was assigned.
