Cleaning and Maintenance

Right now my mouth piece smells like a cat box. I'm soaking it in rubbing alcohol. Is that oK? How can I clean the rest of the sax? I don't want to hurt the pads. Can I take it to the music store or something? I need to know because it smells BAD!

    Rubbing alcohol is not good for a hard rubber mouthpiece. Scrub it real good with dish soap and water and then let it soak in tomato juice overnight. Rinse it off and it should be ok.
