BRILHART Carlsbad Models (-)

The "Carlsbad" model Brilhart mouthpieces are very similar to their predecessor "Great Neck, NY" models, except for some small changes.  Of course the most noticeable difference is the absence of the "Great Neck, NY" stamping on the shank.  Another noticeable difference is the serial numbers.  Other than this the stamping is pretty much the same as it was with the Great Neck N.Y. model.  The number stamping used on the "Carlsbad" model Brilharts is smaller than that used on the "Great Neck, NY" models.  There are also changes in the way the pieces play in comparison to the "Great Neck, NY" models.  The newer "Carlsbad" models have a slightly smaller chamber than their predecessors, which allows for a little quicker response, and perhaps even a little more edge.

Charecteristics of Carlsbad Model:

  • Brilhart stamped at slant across back of barrel
  • Facing number stamp under Brilhart stamp
  • Tonalin, Ebolin, or Hard Rubber stamp on shank under Brilhart stamp
  • Serial number to the right of table (most commonly 6 digits)
  • White bite plate on Ebolins and Black bite plate on Tonalins

Eventually Brilhart stopped using serial numbers on these mouthpieces.
