M.C. GREGORY Gale Hollywood/Dukoff Metal (-)

These mouthpieces were a joint colaboration between M.C. Gregory and Bobby Dukoff.  They were made from Stubby Dukoff blanks and were hand finished by M.C. Gregory.  We've only ever seen these mouthpieces with Gale Hollywood stamping on them, never Gregory.  That being said, they are incredibly rare mouthpieces.

Charecteristics of Gale Hollywood/Dukoff Metal:

  • Gale Hollywood stamped on back of barrel on some models
  • Gale stamped in circle on back of barrel on some models
  • Hollywood stamped on shank
  • Serial Number stamped on shank under table
  • White bite plate

Stubby Dukoff vintage mouthpieces were produced in two halfs, and then silver soldered together.  Because Gale Hollywood metal mouthpieces were made from Stubby blanks, they share this trait.  They were also manufactured with rounded inner side walls, and large chambers.  These mouthpieces have a lot of similarities to vintage Otto Link Super Tone Masters of the same era, except they tend to have more edge, and projection.  You don't hear of many players playing on these all of the time probably because they are so rare, but they are fantastic mouthpieces.
