Voll-True II (1932)

The Voll-True II was a refinement of the original Voll-True only two years earlier. The Voll-True models featured twenty-two improvements over the first “King” model saxophone, with squared off F-sharp, E-flat and C keys, larger palm keys, a floating octave key cup, adjusting screw for bis B-flat and G-sharp, new guards that eliminated bumper pads, both bell keys on the right side, and a roller on the G-sharp key. Like the Voll-True, the Voll-True II also came with the King Resonating Disk pads

King continued to make the Voll-True II with minor adjustments and changed the name to Zephyr. These two horns only varied in minor features. The Zephyr was the first King horn with a dual socket neck, for more resonance, no forked E-flat key, and a change to the adjustment screw with the G-sharp pushing directly on the pad instead of the adjustment arm.
