The Gale Hollywood mouthpieces by M.C. Gragory were named after the owners daughter. Gale mouthpieces are a little more rare than their Gregory counterparts. They were made on the same molds of other Gregory mouthpieces. You will see many that look just like Model As and Bs, and Master Hollywoods. They all have medium chambers that are the same size as the Gregory 18 chambers from the Model A and Model B mouthpieces.
Charecteristics of Gale Hollywood:
From what we have seen Gale Hollywood mouthpieces were kind of all over the place as far as stamping goes. It seems they never stuck to one thing. There are many models out there known as the "Triple Dot" models. These mouthpieces have three small white dots around the bottom of the barrel of the mouthpiece. Gregory made Gale mouthpieces that were identical to these without dots as well.
The most famous saxophonist to have played on Gale Hollywood mouthpieces is by far Gerry Mulligan. There are tons of photos of Mulligan playing on a vintage "Triple Dot" bari mouthpiece. The model he played on is pretty much an exact copy of a Model A Gregory mouthpiece. Because he is one of the leading Baritone players of all time, Gregory and Gale bari mouthpieces have become incredibly rare and are highly sought after.
